Synchronicity Launches New Web-Based Training Powered by Vitalect
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 2001--Synchronicity,
Inc. today announced a joint effort with Vitalect to provide web-based
training (WBT) on Synchronicity products. The first two courses
available are for end users of DesignSync® and ProjectSync®,
Synchronicity's Internet-based design management and project
collaboration solutions.
``The enormous complexity of modern ICs is forcing semiconductor
companies to use large, multi-site design teams,'' said Mark Simon,
manager of customer training at Synchronicity. ``Synchronicity is
committed to customer education and with this new web-based training
we can now serve our customers' most remote sites. Vitalect's
eLearning program is a logical complement to our internet-based
product development environment. The online courses contain the same
content as our classroom courses but are available wherever a customer
can open a web browser, and thus can eliminate the time and expense
associated with training-related travel.''
Vitalect offers a hosted Learning Content Management System that
includes course management, authoring, administration and tracking.
Through Vitalect's WBT program, Synchronicity customers around the
globe now can access quality web-based training whenever they want.
``Synchronicity's solutions are connecting and enhancing the
productivity of electronics design teams around the world,'' said Pran
Kurup, chief executive officer and president of Vitalect. ``With
Vitalect's eLearning technology and content management expertise,
Synchronicity can get those remote sites up to speed more rapidly.''
